A vehicle door trim panel 1 is provided with a water drainage portion constituted by an upper wall 3 and a lower wall 4. The upper wall 3 is provided with a water inlet aperture 8 and the lower wall 4 is provided with a water outlet aperture 9. The drainage portion is intended to attenuate noise. Preferably the water inlet aperture 8 is off-set from the water outlet aperture 9 and the inlet 8 and outlet 9 apertures may be parallel to each other. The trim portion may be injection moulded and made of thermoplastic such as polypropylene. Optionally a channel is formed between the upper wall 3 and the lower wall 4 between the inlet 8 and outlet 9 apertures, the channel may be a labyrinth path for draining water from the inlet aperture 8 and the outlet aperture 9. The channel may be filled with sound absorbing material. |
