Auxiliary wheel apparatus for a wheeled personal conveyance comprising at least one wheel 100 for temporary attachment to a rotating part of the wheeled conveyance, wherein the at least one auxiliary tyre is larger in diameter than the rotating part of the wheeled conveyance. The personal conveyance may be a perambulator, pushchair, stroller, wheelchair or the like where a relatively small outer radius wheel would be a handicap when traversing uneven ground or rough terrain. There may be an attachment means 1 comprising three arms or tabs 5 extending radially from a centrepoint, where the attachment means is adjustable on at least one screw thread or a ratchet and spring bias released by a quick release mechanism. The apparatus may comprise a locking mechanism, brake (20, Fig 6a), to lock the rotating part of the wheeled conveyance or to lock said at least one wheel of the apparatus. The apparatus may comprise two wheels and an axle such as a strap, bar or tie rod 2 extending between the two wheels. |
