PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technology to provide a reversible thermal recording material which has excellent heat resistance and lubricity, includes a lubricity protective layer not causing damage to a surface and the wear of a head even if an image is repeatedly formed and erased many times by a heating element and heat and pressure are high, uses a carbon dioxide as a material, and is used as an environmentally-responsive product useful also from a viewpoint of the protection of the global environment.SOLUTION: In this reversible thermal recording material, the thermal recording material includes in this order: a thermal recording layer provided on a base material and at least one surface of the base material; an intermediate layer provided if necessary; and the lubricity protective layer. The thermal recording layer is a reversible thermal recording layer which is mainly composed of a polymer resin and an organic low molecular substance dispersed in the polymer resin and whose transparency is reversibly changed with a temperature, and the lubricity protective layer is formed of a resin composition containing a polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin as a main component, the polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin derived from a reaction between a 5-membered cyclic carbonate compound and an amine-modified polysiloxane compound. |
