<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for monitoring a railway abnormality within a predetermined section by using an overhead wire arranged along a railway. <P>SOLUTION: In a railway abnormality monitoring device, a sensor 40 that detects a position of a weight 7 attached to an end of an overhead wire 1 is installed.
