The present invention relates to a dinuclear metallocene compound of a novel structure capable of preparing polyolefin having high molecular weight distribution and molecular weight, and to a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, the dinuclear metallocene compound has a novel structure, can provide a multi-site catalyst exhibiting high activity by having high substrate accessibility unlike a single-site catalyst, and can increase molecular weight of a polymer if using the compound as a catalyst.
