<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and method for creating the closeness between people based on photos, which create a photo-associated graph by using the photographed people, photographing time, and photographing place information of photos and define a people closeness-associated graph based on the photo-associated graph to perform people-based photo clustering, thereby grouping the photos effectively. The apparatus includes: a photo input unit configured to receive photo information from a terminal; a photo description information generating unit configured to analyze and describe the input photos to create photo description information including photo identifiers and analysis information of the photos; a clustering unit configured to perform people-based photo clustering by creating the association between the photos and defining the closeness between the people through the association in order to search and group the photos more efficiently using the photographed people, photographing places, photographing time, and photographing place information of the photos based on the analysis information of the photo including the description information of the various generated photos; a photo group information generating unit configured to create group description information by using the association between the photos and the closeness between the people based on an output of the clustering unit; and a photo album information generating unit configured to create photo album information by matching and combining the photo description information, created by the photo description information generating unit, with the group description information, created by the photo group information generating unit.</p> |
