<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clasp which has a thin casing and a structure in which the surface and the backside can have the same shape. <P>SOLUTION: The clasp (10) includes: a hollow casing (30) with an opening formed on one side face; an insertion member (20) inserted into the casing via the opening; a first frame (80) and a second frame (90) which are connected to each other to form the casing; a support shaft (130) connecting the first frame and the second frame so as to be pivotally operated; an energizing means (200) energizing the first and second frames in a direction closing the opening; and an engagement means (140) which is formed on the casing and fixes the insertion member onto the casing.
