<p>A method of configuring event-based automation in a collaborative cloud-based environment comprises receiving, by a processor, a user selection indicating a request to automate an operation in cloud-based environment. In response to receiving the selection, the processor provides a graphical interface for electronic display to the user. The graphical interface indicates multiple fields for population by the user, including an even field and an action field. The event field 810 identifies an event that can occur with respect to a reference object in the cloud-based environment. The events may include an upload, move or the copying of a reference object or work item such as a document or file. The action field 814 identifies an action to be automatically executed in the cloud-based environment in response to the specified event taking place. The actions may include an email alert, deleting, quarantining, creating, reviewing, approving, declining, updated, converting, blocking, sending, sharing a link and running a search. The method may include generating an automation rule, which may comprise a policy or workflow automation. A related system and a related storage medium are also claimed.</p> |
