A device for slotting fibre board B comprises a rotary tool 3 carrying a knife 7 and a stationary anvil 11 presenting a flat support surface having a channel 16 to accommodate the knife, the spacing between the periphery of the tool and the anvil support surface being adjustable to correspond with the thickness of the board being slotted. The anvil comprises a base 13 having a groove 19 and a pair of support plates 15 adjustably mounted on the base and having sharp edges 17 defining a channel 16. The knife has a point 21 for cutting off waste. The fibre board is conveyed to and from the device by means of endless suction conveyer belts 23, 25. |
