1,054,085. Push button tuning mechanisms. MOTOROLA Inc. May 13, 1964 [June 19, 1963], No. 19969/64. Heading H3Q. In a tuner of the " piano key " type, each key 25 is attached to a member 81, pivoted to a further member 57 which in turn is pivoted at 55 with respect to the frame of the tuner and carries a preset cam 65. Depression of a key 25 to the position shown results in the cam 65 deflecting a treadle bar assembly 51, 53 thus setting the core 31 in a coil 29 to the required channel. Each cam 65 is normally clamped between the member 57 and a clamping bar 75 by engagement of the upper end of bar 75 with an incline 91 (Fig. 3, not shown) on member 81, but may be released by setting the key 25 to the upper position when the cam 65 may be reset to a different channel by adjustment of the manual tuning shaft and reclamped by depressing the key 25. A return spring 61 is provided. |
