Disclosed are a system and a method for allocating communications identifiers for a multi-battery management system (multi-BMS). According to the present invention, the system for allocating communications identifiers for the multi-BMS of a battery pack comprises: N (N is an integer not less than 2) number of BMSs each of which includes a vertical communications input port, a vertical communications output port, a horizontal communications input port, and a horizontal communications output port; a vertical communications network which connects the vertical communications input port and vertical communications output port between adjacent BMSs among the N number of BMSs; and a horizontal communications network which connects the horizontal communications input port and horizontal communications output port between the adjacent BMSs among the N number of BMSs. Each of the BMSs sets its own communications identifier by combining vertical communications identifier information received through the vertical communications input port and horizontal communications identifier information received through the horizontal communications input port, and transmits the vertical communications identifier information through the vertical communications output port and the horizontal communications identifier information through the horizontal communications output port. |
