<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPS type liquid crystal display apparatus which prevents a phenomenon that an inside of a counter substrate is electrified due to gate voltage to be applied to a leader line of a scanning line and that a white void is generated on the periphery of a screen.SOLUTION: A leader line 31 of a scanning line is covered with a shield electrode 107 formed on the same layer as a counter electrode 108. The leader line 31 of the scanning line is also formed under sealing material 20. The shield electrode 107 is extended to underpart of the sealing material 20 and covers all of the leader lines 31 of the scanning line formed under the shield electrode 107, so that shielding effect can be made higher. Also, a void pattern 1071 is formed on the shield electrode 107 formed under the sealing material 20, thereby deterioration in adhesive strength between the shield electrode 107 and each of an inorganic passivation film 106 for sandwiching the shield electrode and an upper insulating film 109 can be prevented.</p> |
