The present invention relates to a new type of propulsion system, which can increase a fluid velocity through the rotation of a blade and can be used in all propellants including ships and aircrafts propelled using repulsive force with a surrounding fluid generated in a process of discharging a fluid to the rear of the propellant, and to a propulsion method using the same. The propulsion system of the present invention comprises: a rotor; a guidance system; a housing; and a rotor support frame, wherein the rotor includes: a cylinder; one or more fixed blades installed on the inner surface of the cylinder at an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the inner surface of the cylinder; a power transmission device including a power transmission rim gear, a sprocket, and a shaft; a support device to support the weight of the cylinder; a vibration control device to control the vibration of the cylinder; a displacement control device to control the displacement of the cylinder; and a leak prevention device. The propulsion system, in which the blade and the cylinder are integrated and rotated, can improve propulsion efficiency by adjusting the number, height, moving angle, and installation length of the blades installed inside the cylinder while adjusting the diameter and length of the cylinder according to the density of the fluid and the condition of the propellant. |
