An RJ45 communication jack has a housing with a top, bottom, front, and back. A foil is immediately adhered to and partially covers the housing. A top or bottom of the housing is covered by a first portion and a second portion of the foil wherein the first portion and the second portion are separated by a nonconductive gap. The gap extends from the front of the housing to the rear of the housing.

1. An RJ45 communications jack comprising:
a housing having a top, bottom, front, and back; and a foil at least partially covering and immediately adhered to said housing, wherein at least one of said top and said bottom is partially covered by a first portion of said foil and a second portion of said foil, said first portion and said second portion being separated by a non-conductive gap wherein said gap extends longitudinally along said at least one of said to and said bottom from the front of the housing to the rear of the housing.
