An organic compound represented by the following General Formula [1]: in General Formula [1], A and A′ are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and aryl groups; and the aryl groups each optionally have an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms as a substituent; R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an amino group, or a silyl group, wherein each of the aryl group, the aralkyl group, the amino group, and the silyl group optionally has an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms as a substituent, and each of R1 and R2 is a substituent introduced at a meta- or para-position of a phenyl group that binds to dithienothiophene; and n represents 1 or 2.
