A method of treating a T cell-mediated disease in a human comprising systemically administering to the human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an antibody, or fragment thereof, that binds to Annexin-1 (Anx-A1), wherein the T cell-mediated disease is rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis, and wherein the antibody, or fragment thereof, ameliorates, eliminates or prevents one or more symptoms of the T cell-mediated disease.
