PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent, even when an error has occurred in an estimated value of the remaining amount of toner, a current value from gradually deviating from the actual remaining amount of toner, and a control method of the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: When a predicted remaining amount of toner is larger than the subsequent sensor value, a control device updates a current value with the predicted remaining amount of toner, and when the predicted remaining amount of toner is smaller than the subsequent sensor value, the control device maintains the current value at the subsequent sensor value until the subsequent sensor value is detected. |
