<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect heat energy in a direction going to a medium in a liquid discharge device.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device 1 comprises: a discharge part 8 for discharging liquid; a medium support part 2 for supporting a medium P to which the liquid is discharged; a heater 10 disposed on a position which does not contact the medium support part 2, and emitting heat energy; a heat reception part 14 for receiving the heat energy emitted from the heater 10; and a stop part 16 for stopping the heater 10 when temperature of the heat reception part 14 becomes predetermined temperature or more. When a direction going to the medium support part 2 from the heater 10 is a first direction, the heat reception part 14 is disposed on a position between the heater 10 and the medium support part 2 and closer the first direction side than the heater 10.</p> |
