PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device with small luminance unevenness, excellent display characteristics, and high reliability.SOLUTION: There is provided a top-emission type organic EL display device comprising: a substrate; a pixel electrode formed on the substrate; an auxiliary electrode formed on the substrate and arranged between adjacent pixel electrodes; an insulating layer formed on the substrate and arranged between the adjacent pixel electrodes and between the pixel electrode and the auxiliary electrode; an organic EL layer formed on the pixel electrode and having a plurality of organic layers including a light-emitting layer; and a transparent electrode layer formed on the organic EL layer. At least one of the organic layers constituting the organic EL layer includes a stripe-like opening on the auxiliary electrode. The transparent electrode layer is electrically connected to the auxiliary electrode via the opening of the organic layer. The interval between the openings of the organic layer is not less than 1 mm and not more than 100 mm.
