<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dust holding capacity.SOLUTION: An air filter 20 is applied to a detection device for detecting presence/absence of leakage of evaporation fuel from a fuel tank, and it filters atmospheric air introduced into the device. The air filter 20 includes: a housing 21 comprising an upper side case 30 having an inlet 35 and a lower side case having an outlet; and an element 50 provided inside the housing 21 and having a flat-shaped filter part 51 in which a filter medium is folded in a pleated manner. The inlet 35 is connected to a peripheral wall 32 of an upper side case body 31 so that its extension direction is along a virtual plane V including a ridge line 52 of each pleat of the filter part 51. An opening 36 of the inlet 35 on the peripheral wall 32 is provided in such a manner that both the filter part 51 and space S which is space between the virtual plane V and an upper wall 34 of the upper side case body 31 are included in a projection plane C projected along the extension direction.</p> |
