PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method that monitor a calibration warranty period of a measuring tool such as a caliper, micrometer, or gauge, and take measures to prevent or change an output of the measuring tool when the calibration warranty period thereof expires.SOLUTION: A calibration control device 250 to be coupled to a measuring tool 200 is provided. The calibration control device 250 includes a circuit portion 253, and couples to a coupling mechanism provided on the measuring tool 200. A calibration limit portion determines a parameter limit related to a warranty period for which the measuring tool 200 is warranted as calibrated. A controller causes a host-side data connection portion of the calibration control device 250 to output measuring data in a first mode when the parameter limit is not exceeded, and causes the calibration control device 250 to perform a calibration limit function when the parameter limit is exceeded. The calibration limit function may include stopping the output of the measuring data via the host-side data connection portion or providing an out-of-calibration warning to the host, or the like. |
