PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draw molding method that reduces ejection of a lug especially in a redraw method.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a glass strip includes a step for preparing a glass preform 3 having a flat cross section 4. The width B of the cross section 4 is at least 5 times the thickness D thereof. The cross section 4 is tapered off at an edge region 40 so that the thickness D of the glass preform 3 at a side edge part 31 is at most two-thirds, preferably at most a half of a maximum thickness at a flat middle region 33 of the glass preform 3. |
