PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, when a sensor value is acquired and even if the deviation between a current value and a sensor value is large, a user from being bewildered due to the transition of display of the remaining amount of toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus controls a current value to be moderately shifted corresponding to a sensor value. In particular, when calculating a prediction value of the remaining amount of toner, the image forming apparatus performs, on toner consumption, correction processing of toner consumption according to the sensor value.
