<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device that enables a focus state of an optical system to be appropriately adjusted.SOLUTION: A focus adjustment device comprises: an imaging part 22 that captures an image by an optical system having a focus adjustment lens 32, and outputs an image signal corresponding to the captured image; a phase difference detection part 21 that detects the amount of displacement of an imaging plane by the optical system to thereby detect a focus state of the optical system; a contrast detection part 21 that calculates an evaluation value about a contrast of an image by the optical system on the basis of the image signal to thereby detect a focus state of the optical system; and a drive control part 21 that controls a drive of the focus adjustment lens 32 in an optical axis direction. After the drive control part 21 starts the drive control of causing the focus adjustment lens 32 to be driven to a target position on the basis of a focus detection result by the contrast detection part 21, the drive control part 21 causes the focus adjustment lens 32 to be driven to an in-focus position on the basis of a focus detection result obtained by phase difference detection means 21.</p> |
