PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for accurately detecting fluorescence signal intensity as quickly as possible.SOLUTION: A fluorescence detector 400 includes a plurality of light-receiving surfaces irradiated with a fluorescence signal 405, to generate a signal charge and acquires the fluorescence signal intensity, based on the plurality of signal charges generated by the light-receiving surfaces. The fluorescence detector 400 performs one of hardware binning for acquiring the fluorescence signal intensity by batch-converting the plurality of signal charges and software binning for acquiring the fluorescence signal intensity by converting the signal charges into the fluorescence signal intensity one by one and adding the converted fluorescence signal intensity, to acquire the fluorescence signal intensity.
