摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a current amount control method which are capable of adjusting the amount of current which a voltage generation circuit uses to generate a predetermined voltage according to the connection state of an external capacitive element.SOLUTION: If a capacitive element C2 is not connected to a capacity connection terminal 18, an NMOS 29 is turned on to reduce the resistance value of a constant current generation circuit 20, thereby increasing the amount of current that is supplied from the constant current generation circuit 20 to a voltage follower amplifier 30. Thus, in the voltage follower amplifier 30, a response time T becomes short due to an increase in a drive current, thereby suppressing a voltage drop of a node VDDL. In addition, if the capacitive element C2 is connected to the capacity connection terminal 18, the NMOS29 is turned off to increase the resistance value of the constant current generation circuit 20, thereby suppressing the amount of current that is supplied from the constant current generation circuit 20 to the voltage follower amplifier 30 to suppress current consumption.</p>
