PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a separator for lithium ion secondary battery having high mechanical strength and low internal short circuit defect rate, a separator for lithium ion secondary battery manufactured by that manufacturing method, and a lithium ion secondary battery using the same.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a separator for lithium ion secondary battery by a wet papermaking method, a papermaking machine combining a plurality of papermaking networks is used, and at least one layer is made by an order-flow circle network including a metal wire of 90 mesh. A separator for lithium ion secondary battery manufactured by the manufacturing method and a lithium ion secondary battery including the separator for lithium ion secondary battery are also provided.
