PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for clarifying a blurring point of a handwriting character.SOLUTION: A character correction device includes a character detection part which detects whether or not an image is a character from a line width of a detected line in an inputted image, a character tip end detection part which detects a contour pixel representing a tip end of the character among contour pixels of the detected line in the inputted image, and a character correction part which binarizes a pixel value about a tip end adjoining pixel that adjoins contour pixel representing the tip end of character detected at the character tip end detection part by using a threshold value of the pixel value, and if the tip end adjoining pixel is a threshold value or larger, it is determined that the tip end adjoining pixel is a pixel that constitutes a character, for correcting the character. |
