PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL (electroluminescence) device having a built-in touch sensor, which is thinner compared to a display device with a touch sensor having a touch panel as a separate member adhered to the surface of a display screen.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence device having a built-in touch sensor includes: a first substrate; a second substrate disposed to oppose to the first substrate; an organic EL element layer on the first substrate; a first sealing film which is disposed on the second substrate side of the organic EL element layer to cover the organic EL element layer, and which includes a first inorganic layer comprising at least an inorganic material; a first detection electrode which is arranged in a plurality of numbers parallel to one another, extending in one direction on the second substrate side of the first sealing film; a second sealing film which is disposed on the second substrate side of the first detection electrode, and which includes a second inorganic layer comprising at least an inorganic material; a second detection electrode which is arranged in parallel to one another, extending in a direction different from the above one direction on the second substrate side of the second sealing film; and a touch sensor control unit which controls a potential of one of the first electrode and the second electrode to detect contact on a display screen. |
