PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from sticking to a non-image area in a photoreceptor in the form of stripes.SOLUTION: A developing sleeve 42s arranged in a development housing 41 faces a surface excluding an axial end in a photoreceptor drum 11. A magnet body 42m is arranged in the developing sleeve 42, excluding the axial end. The end of the developing sleeve 42s is a non-magnet area Rt where no magnet body 42m is arranged. The surface facing the non-magnetic area in the photoreceptor drum 11 is covered with a side seal 46. The side seal 46 is in surface contact with the axial end of the photoreceptor drum 11. A tip at the axial center in the side seal 46 is a non-contact part 46a spaced from the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11. |
