PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit which can prevent cloudiness of a spherical segment part of an objective lens, can downsize a tip side, and has excellent assemblability to an endoscope.SOLUTION: A lens unit includes an objective lens 15 in which a tip face 15s and an outer circumferential face 15g are exposed and which is formed with an abutment face 15t on an inner side rather than a base end face 15k and on the tip face 15s side rather than the base end face 15k, a spherical segment part 15q is formed at the center of the abutment face 15t, and an inner circumferential face 15n is formed between the abutment face 15t and the base end face 15k. A lens frame 20 has: a diameter expansion part 22 positioned apart in the rear of the base end face 15k; and a fitting part 21 into the objective lens 15, which projects in front of the diameter expansion part 22. The base end face 15k is fixed to a tip 22s of the diameter expansion part 22 through an adhesive 50, the adhesive 50 is filled in a gap 30 between the base end face 15k and the tip 22s, and the gap 30 is thereby closed, so that the outer circumferential face 21g is fixed to the inner circumferential face 15n by the adhesive 50. |
