PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-type golf club head capable of increasing the amount of backspin while reducing resistance to a ground surface, and a golf club set.SOLUTION: An iron-type golf club head includes a top surface, a sole surface 4, a toe surface for joining the top surface and the sole surface, and a face surface 2 for hitting a ball. The sole surface 4 comprises a leading surface 42 that is inclined to a face side in a face-back direction in such a manner that a visible boundary 41 elongated in the toe-heel direction serves as a top part, and a trailing surface 43 that is inclined to a back side. |
