PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly cut an output object including a plurality of paper types, to form a high-quality output object with side edges aligned with each other.SOLUTION: An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus 10 for forming an image on a sheet P; a post-processing device 30 having a slit part 32 for cutting a sheet end and forming a booklet including a cover sheet and a body; and a control unit (a main control unit and a post-processing control unit) for controlling the image forming apparatus 10 and the post-processing device 30. The post-processing control unit cuts the sheet end by a cutting amount specified by the main control unit when the main control unit specifies a cover sheet (a sheet P of a reference paper type). The post-processing control unit cuts the sheet end by a correction cutting amount obtained by adding an offset to the cutting amount specified by the main control unit when the main control unit specifies a body (a sheet P of a non-reference paper type).
