PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of data comparison processing by properly selecting a comparison object when differential data is created.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: image data creation means for creating image data after change by giving change information for every page to image data before the change; partial comparison means for extracting a page to which the change information is given as a changed page in the respective pages of the image data after the change, and extracting a changed part by comparing for the changed page; full text comparison means for extracting the changed part by comparing the image data before change with the image data after the change for all pages; comparison selection means for selecting either of the partial comparison means or the full text comparison means on the basis of presence/absence of important information showing importance of the image data, etc.; and printing data generation means for generating printing data having the changed page in which the changed part is made identifiable when the partial comparison means is selected, and generating the printing data with all the pages in which the changed part is made identifiable when the full text comparison means is selected. |
