PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens mounting system which enables, when a lens body is installed onto a lens holder, reference surfaces on the two parts to make physical contact to provide precision alignment between a lens focal plane and a sensor image plane.SOLUTION: A lens mounting system comprises a series of interchangeable lens bodies 503 each having a flange 504 and a reference surface 512 and precisely located interchangeably relative to lens focal planes 512. A lens holder 509 is precisely located relative to a sensor 506 and a sensor image plane. |
