<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing according to a principle which is entirely different from conventional ones.SOLUTION: A pedestrian detecting device 11 detects a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing drawn with a white line. The pedestrian detecting device 11 includes imaging means 21 for imaging a region including a region of the white line for the pedestrian crossing, straight line detecting means for detecting a plurality of straight lines in a predetermined region of the image, for each of a plurality of images obtained sequentially as time passes from the imaging means 21, and determination means which determines presence of a pedestrian on the basis of the change between a plurality of images for the plurality of straight lines at each of the plurality of images detected by the straight line detecting means.</p> |
