PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector comprising a normal closing type switch mechanism.SOLUTION: A card connector 10 has a housing 12 formed by insert molding a metal material 16 integrally with a resin material 17 and a shell, and is mounted with a card member. The housing 12 has a bottom surface 13, standing surfaces 14, 15, and a switch mechanism 22 which detects whether the card member is mounted. The switch mechanism 22 has a support part 23 in one corner of the housing 12 and a contact part 25 in another corner of the housing 12, and a switch piece 28 is formed separately from the housing 12 across the support part 23 and the contact part 25. The support part 23 is formed of the metal material 16 that is extended from a part of the bottom surface 13 and one of the standing surfaces 14 and covered with the resin material 17. The switch piece 28 has a fixed part 29 that is fixed to the support part 23, and a contact point 31 that comes into contact with the contact part 25. |
