PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory excellent in corrosion resistance and cost effectiveness.SOLUTION: There is provided a shaped refractory made of a fired refractory and one or more kinds of oxide powders selected from the group consisting of zirconia, zircon, silica and alumina. In the central part at the inside of 5 mm or more to the normal direction from the surface of the shaped refractory, the pore size distribution curve of the pore volume in the shaped refractory has the maximum peak in the pore size of 5 μm or higher, and the assembly of the oxide powders is formed in the pores of the shaped refractory, thus the curve has the peak of the pore volume in the pore size range of 0.01 to 1.0 μm. |
