Provided is a polarizing film which has an excellent exterior and can contribute to improving display characteristics of an image display device. The polarizing film according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film containing iodine. A ratio (I_2/I_1) between an iodine concentration (I_1) at one surface of the polarizing film and an iodine concentration (I_2) at the other surface thereof is greater than or equal to 3.0.
