PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in power consumption.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device has: a display device that displays a screen; an acceleration sensor that acquires acceleration data about three axes orthogonal to each other; and a processor that is connected to the display device and the acceleration sensor, and acquires the acceleration data acquired by the acceleration sensor. The processor detects that an own device rotates around one axis orthogonal to the display device out of the three axes, determines whether an amount of variation of acceleration data about the one axis upon the detected rotation is less than a predetermined threshold, and causes the display device to rotate a currently displayed screen when it is determined that the amount of variation of acceleration data about the one axis is less than a predetermined threshold. |
