<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the incongruity of an occupant accompanied by gear change control during coast traveling.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a clutch control part which controls a gear change ratio of a transmission 20 to a directly-coupling stage by making both first and second clutches CL1, CL2 engaged with each other by pressure-increasing supply hydraulic pressure, and controls the transmission 20 into a power non-transmittable state by releasing either of the clutches by pressure-decreasing the supply hydraulic pressure; and a coast control device which makes a vehicle coast by controlling the transmission 20 into the power non-transmittable state during traveling by releasing either of the first and second clutches CL1, CL2 being an object to be engaged with according to a required gear change ratio. When performing gear change control to the required gear change ratio (directly-coupling stage) after a change during the coast traveling, the first clutch CL1 as the coasting clutch in this required gear change is controlled to be released, and the supply hydraulic pressure to the second clutch CL2 which is in a released state is gradually increased, and the second clutch CL2 is gradually engaged with the first clutch.</p> |
