PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile method for detecting microorganisms which can be applied to both tests for detection of specified microorganisms and total viable count for a Chinese medicine extract preparation and a crude drug containing various antimicrobial substances under the same test conditions, and in which effects of antimicrobial substances in a test sample can be effectively reduced and target microorganisms can be detected with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A method for detecting microorganisms in a test sample having antimicrobial activity includes a step of preparing a sample solution containing a test sample having antimicrobial activity and a step of culturing target microorganisms in a culture medium. In the method, a (meth)acrylic ester-based synthetic adsorbent is made to act on the sample solution and/or the culture medium. |
