<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device, a firmware updating method of the image formation device, and a program, enabling updating of a firmware by unit, and enabling use of a function which is unrelated to updating.SOLUTION: An image formation device (10) includes a main control unit (MPU(104)) which performs main control over the entire device, individual function units (display panel unit (100), PCU (101), SCU (102), and fax control unit (103)) for controlling individual device function.
