PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate that exhibits excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering.SOLUTION: The substrate for surface enhanced Raman scattering comprises a thin-layer belt-like silver structure that is obtained by reducing silver nitrate with a specific amine (N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl ethylene diamine) (TEMED) in an aqueous solution in the presence of polyethylene glycol and then leaving the reduced product to stand for a given period, and that has high crystallinity, a thickness of 50 to 1000 nm, a ratio of the width to thickness (width/thickness) of 2 to 100, and a ratio of the length to width (length/width) of 2 or more.
|
