PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal nanoparticles having high purity and a small secondary particle diameter.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing metal nanoparticles by mixing the following A liquid and B liquid using a microreactor. A liquid: the liquid contains a first metal ion and a second metal ion having an oxidation reduction potential higher than the oxidation reduction potential of the first metal ion and the mass content ratio (the mass content of the second metal ion/the mass content of the first metal ion) between the second metal ion and the content of the first metal ion is 0.005 or less; B liquid: the liquid is a solution containing a reductant for reducing the first metal ion and the second metal ion.
