PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable selection of a coil having high conversion efficiency capable of suppressing heat generation and loss when smoothing an amplified modulation signal in a liquid jet type printer in which an amplified modulation signal of a high frequency is used, and to provide the liquid jet type printer of low power consumption.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a signal modulation unit 26 for pulse-modulating an original driving signal 125 and generating a modulation signal 126; a signal amplification unit 28 for amplifying the modulation signal 126 and generating an amplified modulation signal 128; a coil L for smoothing the amplified modulation signal 128 and generating a driving signal COM; a piezoelectric element PZT deforming by the driving signal COM being applied; a cavity expanding or contracting by the deformation of the piezoelectric element PZT; and a nozzle for communicating with the cavity and discharging a liquid by increase/decrease of pressure in the cavity. A core material of the coil L is Mn-Zn ferrite. |
