PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupling device that allows easily reducing its thickness and its planar size.SOLUTION: An optical coupling device includes a supporting substrate, a MOSFET, a light-receiving element, a light-emitting element, and an adhesive layer. The supporting substrate has an insulating layer, an input terminal, and an output terminal. The MOSFET has a first surface including an operating region, is bonded to the supporting substrate, and has a drain connected to the output terminal. The light-receiving element has a first surface including a light-receiving region, a first electrode, and a second electrode, and a second surface insulated from the operating region of the MOSFET, is bonded to the MOSFET, and is connected to the MOSFET. The light-emitting element has a first surface including a first electrode and a second electrode and a second surface including a light emission region of emission light, and is connected to the input terminal. The adhesive layer bonds the light-emitting element and the light-receiving region of the light-receiving element, and has translucency and insulation properties. The MOSFET turns on or off by photovoltaic power occurring in a pn junction through irradiation of emission light. |
