PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactor capable of swiftly eliminating electric-arc.SOLUTION: The contactor includes: a contact part 15 which is constituted of a fixed contact 10 and a movable contact 11 which is movable between a close position at which movable contact 11 comes into contact with the fixed contact 10 and an open position separated away from the fixed contact 10; an arc eliminator 14 that, when heated, releases an arc elimination gas having arc eliminating feature; and a housing 13 which encloses the contact part 15 and the arc eliminator 14.
