PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that has high reliability even with a narrow frame.SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device having a display area and a frame part, the frame part is formed, in an area close to the display area, of an organic insulation film 111a, transparent conductive film 120, and a flat part of an orientation film 300', which are sequentially laminated, and of an organic insulation film 111b in an area distant from the display area, and has a groove structure 115 continuously surrounding the display area; and the organic insulation films 111a and 111b have wettability to an orientation film liquid poorer than that of the transparent conductive film 120. |
