摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing gas diffusion layers for a fuel battery, each having improved gas diffusibility and drainage properties which are obtained by preventing paste including a porous material from being infiltrated in a substrate of the gas diffusion layer.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing gas diffusion layers for a fuel battery comprises the steps of: conveying a substrate, made of a carbon fiber, on which each gas diffusion layer is based by a conveyance roller; applying paste including a water-repellent resin and a dispersant to the substrate; drying the substrate after the step of applying the paste; and applying paste including a porous material having electrical conductivity to a surface, of the substrate, opposite to a contact surface which comes into contact with the conveyance roller after the step of drying the substrate. A contact surface, of the conveyance roller, which comes into contact with the substrate has water repellency.
